The Ocean Cleanup
США
Добавлен 13 дек 2012
The Ocean Cleanup's mission is to develop and scale technologies to rid the oceans of plastic.
Every year, millions of tons of plastic enter the oceans primarily from rivers. The plastic afloat across the oceans - legacy plastic - isn’t going away by itself. Therefore, solving ocean plastic pollution requires a combination of stemming the inflow and cleaning up what has already accumulated.
The Ocean Cleanup is developing cleanup systems to clean up what is already polluting our oceans and to intercept plastic on its way to the ocean via rivers. When we have achieved our goal of a 90% reduction in ocean plastic, our project is finished and our work will be done.

Second Attempt To Intercept Plastic Tsunamis In the Rio Motagua: Introducing Interceptor Barricade
Why don't they pass a law that all the country's has to recycle the trash in to power and charge them if they brake the law ? It would make the world a better place and mother earth happy !
🌍 $PLANET
6 days to shovel trash out of a river with multiple excavators. Now picture the conditions it requires to end up this way, how they must be living. These are the people who flock to the us southern border in droves and people have the nerve to wonder why we don't want them in our country. THIS go back to fix your own.
How about using Garbage Cans
All the Western Conservation in the world doesnt stand a chance against 3rd World desperation
Thanks
Does these people just throw there trash in the water and think it will magically disappear total disrespect for our planet and the generations to come . And what people need to remember is the only thing we truly leave our children is this planet for the love of God please do not litter.
Can't imagine if all of these had gone out to sea, the poor poor fish and all. We created the problem and they are the ones that suffers. Thank you for making a difference ❤
Thanks so much for your great work! What happens with all the stuff?
This is really great but still a lot of micro plastics in the water.
How can that much trash get in a river?
I love this project and it should continue but the main issue is root cause thats where efforts should be focused
This is admirable! But it's so sad to see all of this in one of the most beautiful countries of the world. Hermanos por favor demuestra que amas a tu país como yo lo amo❤
thank u 🙏🙏🙏
How about teach those people not to dump all their trash in the river.
So 3rd world countries
Fix the cause, not the consequences!
You all are doing great work! May god keep you all and your families happy and safe❤.
Why is the trash there in the first place?!
this is all good and nice but if you don't stop people from rural places that don't have infrastructures like dump trucks and stuff to get rid of there trash this will keep on going for ever and ever hope y'all teach people where y'all do these clean ups to recycle and stuff otherwise this is just a drop in the fire
Where does all that plastic go after after the nets to landfill or recycling plants
This is what I will do if I go to Palau 🇵🇼
So sad to see all that trash . Compliments and respect for *ocean cleaning* You are great !
Todas para pacha mama!!!Todo respeto!
Oh im the number 8889...awesome..
How about we just ban plastic production?
Thank you guys
ОЛЛОХ РОЗИ БУЛСИН.❤❤❤
Why isn’t the Guatemalan government held accountable for this crime?
Now use that garbage and go make houses (like that guy in Africa does ❤)
The real question is who are the POS's throwing that into the rivers?
As humans, we should be disgusted with ourselves for dumping so much plastic into the sea 😞
The unintended consequence of removing all that floating biomass on the survival fish fry, baby turtles and zooplankton, will be felt in the coming decades. This is some kind of an expensive no win situation.
Those people living there are just incapable and don't have the brains to know what's best for them or the world
Why is it always the west ór stealing your gold/people, ór it is fixing your country because you yourself don't have the brains to do it 😅
Notice the net was leaking plastic
Большое вам спасибо 🙏 Вы настоящие герои❤ Берегите природу дорогие друзья 🙏
People are scums throwing this much garbage on the floor is insane
It's not solving the problem. 1st companies shouldn't make and use so much plastic. Stop making so much waste and throw it into special bags. These special bags are picked up every month and braught to a disposal site where it gets cleaned, seperated from other stuff and recycled. And ppl should be informed about how dangerous it is for "EVERYBODY, not only fish" to throw away waste into nature. If that doesn't help the ppl gonna pay high taxes. Until everybody got it in their damn stupid heads. At least i'd send them to jail for murder: the plastic in water is not only killing water animals. We eat those animals and plastic stays in our body, which makes us sick and kills us slowly. Plastic in landscapes/fields is also eaten by cows, sheeps and other animals humans eat too. It's called "the circle of plastic life". I hate people throwing away their waste and corrupt politicians who say "waste ain't my problem" while making deals with coca cola, Nestlé and more planet earth killing companies.
Mi Guatemala
I say we stay the hell away from Mars and the moon until we thoroughly clean up this planet! 😠😊
Why can’t these countries stop polluting in the first place? Backwards cultures.
Best of luck to you all.. Thank you for this is Outstanding work you all are doing Greetings from Skandinavia 💕🇮🇸😊👍💕
I'm willing to eat my pride w these guys and serve them coffee/be a janitor in their office, now these are great people
These countries have so much plastic and contamination yet they have 1000 times more tree coverage and wildlife than majority of western countries.
This is what happens when the poor countries don't have trash collection, they have to try and catch it in the river.
Effluent screens work pretty well we use them in water treatment as a backup for our rotary screens . Typically don't have to clean them very often unless the rotary screen is being serviced .
Запретить использование пластика!
Well done So what is the end result with the Collected Trash???
There is so much ocean cleanup can hold back. let spread the word about recycle, reuse and reduce fast fashion, one time use plastic.
